Privacy policy
LoopForge Studio is designed to keep your work on your own computer. This page explains what data is involved when you use the app, this website, and when you buy a license.
Who we are
LoopForge Studio is provided by LoopForge (“we”). For anything in this policy, write to [email protected].
The app
- Your videos never leave your PC. The app opens, previews and exports your files locally. It does not upload them anywhere.
- No account, no analytics, no tracking. The app does not send usage statistics, crash reports or identifiers to us, and it works fully offline. Your license key is checked on your own computer. When the PC happens to be online, the app also downloads a short list of withdrawn license IDs (for example after refunds) from our license server. That request contains nothing about you, your key or your videos; like any web request, it shows your IP address to our server. We count these requests once per copy per day, as a plain number, to see roughly how many copies of the app are in use; we do not store the IP address for this.
- Files the app keeps on your PC (in your user profile, under
%APPDATA%\loopforge-studioand%LOCALAPPDATA%\LoopForge): a small error log, your recent-files list, a crash-recovery copy of unsaved work, your preview volume, your license key, and the start date of the free trial. They are yours; deleting the folder removes them.
This website
The website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It is delivered through Cloudflare, which, like any content network, processes technical request data (such as your IP address and browser type) to serve the pages quickly and protect them from abuse. Our web server also keeps standard access logs for security and troubleshooting. When you click a Download button, our license server counts the click as a plain number per day, so we know how many people download the app, and then sends you on to the file. We do not store your IP address or any identifier for this count.
Buying a license
- Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. Stripe tells us that the payment succeeded and gives us your email address, your name if you provided it, and billing details needed for taxes and receipts. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Your license is created on our license server, which stores your email address, name (if given), the license key and its ID, the date, and a payment reference, so we can show you the key, resend it if you lose it, handle refunds, and apply our one-refund-per-customer rule.
- Your license email is sent through Resend, our email provider, so they process your email address and the message. See Resend’s privacy policy.
- Support emails you send us are kept so we can help you.
Why we use this data
To deliver what you bought (performance of a contract), to keep the service secure and prevent fraud (our legitimate interests), and to meet tax, accounting and legal duties. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed to provide your license, answer support requests and meet accounting and legal requirements. Support emails are kept for as long as they are useful for helping you.
Who else sees it
Only the services above that make the purchase and website work: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Cloudflare (website delivery and protection) and our hosting provider. They process data on our behalf or under their own terms. Some of them may handle data outside your country, using the safeguards required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy. Email [email protected] from the address you bought with. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
LoopForge Studio is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on this website.
