I lost my license key
Your key was shown after you paid and emailed to you (check your spam folder). If you can’t find it, email us from the address you bought with and we will send it again.
How do I activate?
Open LoopForge Studio, click the chip in the title bar (it says Trial or Licensed), paste your key and press Activate. You can also use “Open key file” with the .lfkey file attached to your email. Activation works offline.
Can I move my license to a new PC?
Yes. A license is for one user. On the old PC open the Activate window and choose “Remove from this PC”, then enter the same key on the new one.
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”
Windows shows this for installers from a publisher it doesn’t know yet. Choose More info, check that the file is LoopForge-Studio-Setup, then choose Run anyway. You can compare the installer’s SHA-256 checksum with the one on the download page.
The app closes right after starting
Install LoopForge Studio with the installer instead of copying its folder to another place. The installer sets the folder permissions Windows needs. If it still closes, send us the log described below.
Exporting is slow or fails
- 4K at full size with many repeats needs a lot of memory. The app warns you and can switch to a lower resolution in one click.
- Try exporting to a different folder or drive, and make sure there is enough free disk space.
- If your graphics card can’t handle a size, the app falls back to software encoding on its own, which is slower but works.
What to include in an email
- What you were doing and what you expected to happen.
- Your Windows version and, for video problems, the file type and size of the video (for example “MP4, 4K, 20 minutes”).
- The error log, if there is one. Press
Win + R, paste%APPDATA%\loopforge-studio, press Enter, and attachloopforge.log. It contains no video content.
